Pulse have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist , who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in South East London, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist , you will be working in both a 19-bed Highly Specialist Cognitive-Behavioural ward and a Neurorehabilitation ward with 18 beds. Providing specialist treatment to patients with physical and cognitive impairments resulting from an acquired / traumatic brain injury.

  • Your main responsibilities as a Specialist Occupational Therapist:

  • Develop, carry out, and generalise safe, innovative, evidence-based treatments, underpinned by the principles of neuroplasticity and motor re-learning.
  • Prescribe and provide equipment for our patients during their rehabilitation journey.
  • Provide intervention as part of an MDT approach and be involved in MDT service developments.
  • Ensure effective and timely communication at all levels (with patients, families, the MDT and external agencies).
  • Contribute to the in-service education and training programme for the wider MDT.
  • Supervise junior staff including assistants and students.
  • What we are looking for in a Specialist Occupational Therapist:

  • HCPC registration
  • RCOT registration
  • Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
