This Specialty Doctor opportunity is built around assess, diagnose, and treat inpatients, contributing to individualised recovery pathways aimed at community reintegration. It would suit someone who can bring clear communication, reliability, and practical judgement to the role.
How the role is set up
Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas, with a budget of around £1 billion and em. This is a basic 10 session contract - Normal working days only - no on call commitment.
Where someone would start
Assess, diagnose, and treat inpatients, contributing to individualised recovery pathways aimed at community reintegration. Provide high-quality psychiatric care through assessments, medication management, MDT ward rounds, and risk formulation. Develop and implement tailored care and discharge plans.
What is expected
- Experience with restricted patients, teaching, audit, and research.
- Or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
