What the role involves

  • This post attracts 11.23 programmed activities per week as part of the Middle Grade rota.
  • Support, other clinical, medical, professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust’s patients.
  • To ensure the provision of a first class clinical service.
  • To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty.
  • Develop teaching and research wherever appropriate.
  • To examine and treat patients on the shop floor of the Emergency Care Centre.

Skills and requirements

  • Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
  • Evidence of 4 years (FTE) postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent training) of which at least 2 year’s training must be in Emergency Medicine or a recognised equivalent trai.
  • Minimum 12 months working for an NHS organisation.
  • Minimum of 3 months in Anaesthesia and/or Intensive Care Medicine.

Confirmed role details

  • Fixed Term and Permanent positions are available.
  • The post could be filled on a full or Part Time basis.
  • To assist and participate with the development of postgraduate training for F1s, F2s, CTs and other staff as appropriate. Weekly teaching takes place for both the middle grade staf.
  • There is an Education Centre Onsite where regular clinical meetings are held.
