Job description

The Speech & Language Therapist (ADOS position centres on conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process using ADOS-2. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.

This is an exciting and valuable clinic-based/hybrid position for suitably qualified clinicians working with children and young people referred for autism and/or ADHD assessments v. How the role works day to day

Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process using ADOS-2. Conducting remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom. Participating collaboratively in peer MDT diagnostic discussions, supported by senior clinicians where needed.

  • Permanent (Full-Time and Part-Time Available).

  • Continued professional development, clinical supervision, and reflective practice to support the ongoing development of your clinical skills.
  • £30,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

What needs to be in place

  • Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with children and young people.
  • Trained and experienced in the use of ADOS-2 (essential).
  • HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist with minimum 1 year professional registration.
