Sr. Sales Engineer

Sr. Sales Engineer focuses on provide pre- and post-sales technical expertise as well as ongoing consultation to pitchbook clients and prospects related to our customer-facing data feed and api solutions.

What the role involves

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical expertise as well as ongoing consultation to PitchBook clients and prospects related to our customer-facing data feed and API solutions.
• Coordinating with Product, Technology, and IT teams to effectively communicate to clients and prospects how the PitchBook Platform features, functionality, processes, and underlying.
• Partner with remote development teams to build client solutions for PitchBook’s data feed and API products.
• Managing a queue of client or prospect requests for technical solutions and specs.
• Work collaboratively with Product teams to share customer feedback and suggestions.
• Supporting the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors.

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in sales/solutions engineering, customer success, or technical sales.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience using CRM tools (, Salesforce) and familiarity with the sales pipeline, emphasizing the ability to help drive sales processes and track engagement.
