Sterile Service Technician focuses on to provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments in accordance with htm 01-01.

What the role involves

  • To provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments in accordance with HTM 01-01.
  • To assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment, Endoscopes and sundry items to/for the cus.
  • To maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain Health & Safety within the department.
  • To ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained in working areas.
  • To ensure processes are followed as directed by the Senior Staff and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Skills and requirements

  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Previous Experience is required.
  • Some experience of working within a sterile services unit.
