Structural Engineer
Structural Engineer focuses on collaborate with detailing team including drafting team, bim coordinator and other designer engineers as well as the technical direction team to ensure coordination and integration.
What the role involves
- Collaborate with detailing team including drafting team, BIM Coordinator and other designer engineers as well as the technical direction team to ensure coordination and integration.
- Conduct calculations and structural assessments of design changes to determine the impact on the reinforced concrete structures and propose necessary design modifications.
- Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for the reinforced concrete structures.
- Conduct structural assessments, and evaluations during construction.
- Work closely with construction contractors and site teams to resolve any structural issues or challenges during the construction phase.
- Support to junior engineers and draftsmen involved in the structural design and detailing process.
Skills and requirements
- In addition, you will also have the following: Must have the right of work for the UK.
- Experience in Structural Civil Work, Civil Design, RC detailing, steel structures with ETT-C or Eurocodes or other relevant codes.
- Proven experience working on the design and analysis of reinforced concrete structures for nuclear power plants, specifically with European Pressurized Reactors (EPR).
- Sound knowledge of nuclear safety principles, regulations, and standards governing the design and construction of nuclear power plant structures.
