Role overview

8:30am – 3:30pm. Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Student Engagement Mentor for our partner secondary schools in Newport.

Main responsibilities

Supporting people with care, daily routines, clinical tasks, or wellbeing according to the role remit. Follow safeguarding, medication, documentation, or care-plan requirements where they apply. Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom.

Calm communication, safeguarding awareness, resilience, and respectful support.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided during onboarding).
  • Two professional references covering a minimum of 24 months.
