Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer focuses on monitor the wellbeing of the college’s residential learners with a specific focus on the under 18 provision.

What the role involves

• Monitor the wellbeing of the College’s residential learners with a specific focus on the under 18 provision.
• A key element of the role will be to provide safeguarding support to all students in residential accommodation and work with students to mentor, self-assess, agree targets.
• They provide 24/7 support for residential students with issues ranging from accommodation queries to student wellbeing, entertainment and enrichment.

Skills and requirements

• Based at Cannington College, the Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer plays a pivotal role in coordinating wellbeing support for students across the College.

• The shift will begin at 09:00 and finish at 20:40 with one hour lunch.

• The college Residential provision provides accommodation for students aged 16+ studying across any of our College Group.
• The College’s primary student accommodation is based at the Cannington campus and consists of 211 beds.
• The working pattern for this post will be 4 working days, followed by 4 rest days.
