Student Support and Wellbeing Coordinator
Student Support and Wellbeing Coordinator focuses on delivering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to support learners’ mental health and resilience.
What the role involves
- Delivering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to support learners’ mental health and resilience.
- Develop and implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Provide effective support for students experiencing distress, anxiety or crisis situations.
- Work collaboratively with families, therapists, staff and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
- Supporting student recruitment and assessment processes, including transition activities.
- Coordinating wellbeing initiatives such as group sessions, forums and enrichment activities.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working with young disabled adults or in a pastoral/wellbeing role.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field and GCSEs (including Maths and English).
- Background in psychology, counselling or positive behaviour support.
- Experience in a specialist education or SEND environment.
Confirmed role details
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).
