Student Support and Wellbeing Coordinator focuses on delivering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to support learners’ mental health and resilience.

What the role involves

  • Delivering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to support learners’ mental health and resilience.
  • Develop and implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Provide effective support for students experiencing distress, anxiety or crisis situations.
  • Work collaboratively with families, therapists, staff and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Supporting student recruitment and assessment processes, including transition activities.
  • Coordinating wellbeing initiatives such as group sessions, forums and enrichment activities.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience working with young disabled adults or in a pastoral/wellbeing role.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field and GCSEs (including Maths and English).
  • Background in psychology, counselling or positive behaviour support.
  • Experience in a specialist education or SEND environment.

Confirmed role details

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).
