Substation Engineer focuses on take responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of key projects, acting as discipline lead.

What the role involves

• Take responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of key projects, acting as Discipline Lead.
• Leading Engineer, taking full accountability for technical delivery.
• Leading the delivery of complex traction power and substation design packages across all project stages.
• Work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient delivery.
• Review work carried out by engineers and designers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.

Skills and requirements

• Significant experience in traction power and high voltage substation design.
• Experience delivering complex projects across feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination and overseeing design teams.
• Chartered status, working towards chartership, or demonstrable experience operating at Principal level.
