Skills and requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with experience of Experience of Statutory Childcare and Disability.
• Up to date knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards and other relevant legislation.

Confirmed role details

• Working Full Time, you will be primarily home based with travel throughout South Wales visiting carers, attending meetings, taking part in C/YP activity and carers support days and.
• Understanding of the need to work with and on behalf of Children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
• In return we offer.
• Primarly home based with minimum 1 day per week in the office.

• It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
• Our Supervising Social Workers build positive relationships between TLC, the foster parent, the child, and the child’s social worker.

Additional role context

• TLC Wales Fostering provides family foster placements for children aged 0–18 years who have a diagnosed medical condition and/or disability.
• TLC Wales meets the needs of a range of children, some of whom have life limiting conditions and some who have profound physical disabilities while others have complex needs.
• Up to date Registration with Social Care Wales.
