What the role involves
- Leading procurement activities including tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
- Lead a team of Supply Chain Specialists and Senior Supply Chain Specialists responsible for procurement activities.
- Managing Contract Managers responsible for NEC3 contract administration and supplier delivery performance.
- Ensure clear and structured handover from procurement teams to Contract Managers at contract award.
- Overseeing contract mobilisation to ensure suppliers are prepared for delivery in line with project requirements.
- Provide leadership and direction to Contract Managers in the administration of NEC3 contracts including compensation events, notices and change management.
Skills and requirements
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract delivery in large programmes.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
- Experience with NEC contracts and contract administration practices.
