What the role involves
- Supporting Worker (SEND) (6599).
- Barnardo's DSI service has been providing support to children & young people with a disability & their families across the region for several years.
- We are looking to appoint a bank of workers to provide support to young people with a disability and/or learning difficulty aged 0-25 years and their families across the East Ridin.
- Meet medical, physical, emotional and personal needs of the young people. This may include managing behaviour, personal care such as feeding/toileting, showering etc. as detailed i.
- Full induction to the role and we will provide a comprehensive training package including first aid, safeguarding.
- Robust lone and safe working protocol with on call support.

- Relevant care, clinical, support, registration, DBS, or safeguarding requirements may apply.
Confirmed role details
- B'Enabled Outreach Support – working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with young people who are not currently accessing Full Time education – weekdays term time only.
- Rolled up annual leave pay.

Additional role context
- The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
- Short Break Provision – working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis within the community or in the home – mainly on weekends/evenings/during the day in school holidays.
- We have sessions available ranging from 6 hours per week up to 30 hours per week.
