What the role involves
- Person-Centered Support: Provide high-quality, tailored care to individuals, supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs while respecting their dignity, choices, and pre.
- Assist service users in developing life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and personal care, to enhance their independence in daily living.
- Managing Challenging Behaviours: Use de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies to support individuals in coping with challenging behaviours in a safe, compassionat.
- Care plans, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of service users at all times by following individual risk assessments.
- Supporting Plans: Following individual care.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant care, clinical, support, registration, DBS, or safeguarding requirements may apply.
Candidate fit
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or challenging behaviours is preferred but not essential—full training provided.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, supportive manner.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
