What the role involves

• Provide day-to-day support to students with a range of educational and personal needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce strategies that promote student success.
• Assisting students in developing communication, social, and independent living skills.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities when required.
• Support staff to meet individual student needs.

Skills and requirements

• Care, youth work, or a similar role is advantageous.
• Previous experience in support work.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Confidence supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
