• Andy is 24 years old and lives independently with the support of carers in a residential care home in Bracknell.
• Andy is a wheelchair user and requires support with all activities of daily living including personal care.
• He is very much looking forward to a Support Worker.
• Buddy coming on board to support him in participating in activities.
• Buddy will plan different activities, days trips out, explore new interests and hobbies.
• Support Andy to participate.

• Snap Care will screen applications to confirm the essential criteria for the position is met.

Confirmed role details

• Is offering a permanent contract, bespoke person-centered training, and ongoing supervision from Andy’s case manager.

Candidate fit

• Building up a relationship will be gradual, and you must be confident organising activities both in and outside of Andy’s residential care home.
• Provide positive input to Andy’s life.
• Be fun, positive, friendly, and an active Support Worker.

Additional role context

• Andy is a sociable young man who enjoys a wide range of interests such as music, hydro.
• He has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a severe learning disability, speech and language difficulties, epilepsy, and a partial sight impairment.
• At times Andy can display behaviours that may challenge.
