What the role involves
- Axcis Education is currently recruiting for Support Worker in the Ross-on-Wye area to start work in September 2026.
- Involve working with a student with Special educational needs, in and out of the classroom, this includes support in a student ‘hub’.
- Build up rapport with school staff and students.
- Support teachers on adapting lessons to suit the childs needs.
- To ensure you are set up for success in your role.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant care, clinical, support, registration, DBS, or safeguarding requirements may apply.
Confirmed role details
- You do not need direct experience working in a classroom setting, although this would be a huge bonus.
- We pay £14.25 per hour.
- This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
- Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.

- We are currently searching for a long-term placement, in a school Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30pm during term time only, with a start date of September 2026, this role may be open to.
