Support Worker
Support Worker focuses on promote independence, life skills and informed choice in line with individual support plans.
What the role involves
- Promote independence, life skills and informed choice in line with individual support plans.
- Supporting individuals to communicate their needs and preferences using appropriate communication approaches.
- Maintaining dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times in line with GDPR and organisational policy.
- Administer medication following competency assessment.
- Supporting with health, wellbeing and personal care, including continence care if required.
- Provide emotional support during challenging or difficult times.
Skills and requirements
- Willingness to complete all required training.
- Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities or Complex Needs.
- Experience assisting individuals with mobility or physical health needs.
