• Experience: Experience in a safety engineering role, preferably within the rail industry.
• Education: A degree in engineering or a related field, with further qualifications in safety engineering considered advantageous.

Confirmed role details

• Aid the development of safety cases, which are arguments supported by evidence, to demonstrate that a system meets safety requirements and is acceptably safe for its intended use.
• Compliance and Auditing: support compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations and participate in audits to verify the effectiveness of safety measures.
• Incident Investigation: participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and contribute to corrective actions.
• Reporting: report to the lead systems safety engineer.
