The Teacher of Humanities position centres on create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, participation, and high standards of behaviour. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

How the role works day to day
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, participation, and high standards of behaviour. Supporting safeguarding and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in humanities subjects, including history, geography, and religious studies, in line with the curriculum and examination requirements.
Practical details
- Full-time contract with working hours aligned to the academic timetable, including some evenings or occasional weekends for events or meetings.
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- Shift pattern: Weekends.
What needs to be in place
- Experience of teaching humanities to examination level, including GCSE and A Level.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a humanities-related subject, for example history, geography, or religious studies.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams or collaborative educational projects.
