Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting students in class on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

What the role involves

  • Supporting students in class on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and keep students engaged.
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
  • Encourage confidence, participation, and progress.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

  • GSL Education is seeking proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Boston.
