Job description
The Teaching Assistant position centres on providing support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Where the work sits
Be working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils throughout the school day and helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across DE21 (Chaddesden and nearby areas) who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible suppl.
How the role works day to day
Providing support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines. Encouraging pupils to stay focused and engaged in their learning.

What needs to be in place
- We adhere to Safer Recruitment practices in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, and other relevant legislation.
- Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred).
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
