Teaching Assistant focuses on assisting students with classroom activities and learning tasks throughout the day.

What the role involves

• Assisting students with classroom activities and learning tasks throughout the day.
• Provide additional support to individuals and small groups when required.
• Help maintain an organised, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage student participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Supporting staff with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to contribute to classroom activities.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
