What the role involves

• Provide support to EYFS pupils, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment conducive to learning.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Supporting the development of children's literacy, numeracy, social, and motor skills through play-based and structured learning activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence in line with school policies and the EYFS ethos.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils, adapting support to their individual needs.
• Assisting with classroom preparation, tidying, and maintenance of resources.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting is essential.
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
• Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
