Teaching Assistant focuses on assisting with classroom learning activities and interventions.

What the role involves

• Assisting with classroom learning activities and interventions.
• Supporting the pupil's emotional, social, and behavioural development.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where required.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, helping the pupil access learning.
• Develop confidence, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

• A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a full-time basis, starting immediat.

Candidate fit

• Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in Key Stage 2.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
