Job description

The Teaching Assistant position with C grade or above centres on contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

Who the work supports

Be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class (max. 8 children per class) and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally.

How support shows up

Contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.

What needs to be in place

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff.
