Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant focuses on we are recruiting two teaching assistants (ta) and a learning support assistant (lsa) for an exciting secondary school in swindon.

What the role involves

• We are recruiting two teaching assistants (TA) and a learning support assistant (LSA) for an exciting secondary school in Swindon.
• In these roles, you will work to support a few pupils 1-1 during lessons, or sometimes will be called upon to be a general classroom assistant.
• Be working in a small team to support students'' learning outside the mainstream classroom.
• This may mean leading interventions to small groups or working 1-1 with a student who needs extra support.

Skills and requirements

• You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Confirmed role details

• There is also a full-time behaviour specialist in the Centre, who you will work closely with to support students who have left their lessons for SEMH reasons.
• These roles are full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 3.30, not including holidays.
• This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
• Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.

Candidate fit

• The school is mainstream, but has some students with SEND and SEMH needs, so you will need to be highly adaptable.
• For this role, you will need to be calm, empathetic and be able to develop strong relationships with pupils to support them with their work.
