Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

What the role involves

• Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and participation.
• Provide support for students with additional learning needs where required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience).
• Full-time / Part-time | Long-term / Day-to-day.
• GSL Education is seeking caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support schools across Horncastle and Alford.
• Work closely with teachers and pupils to support learning, encourage engagement, and help create a positive classroom environment.

Candidate fit

• Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
• A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
