Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
What the role involves
- Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Encourage positive behaviour and participation.
- Provide support for students with additional learning needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
Confirmed role details
- £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience).
- Full-time / Part-time | Long-term / Day-to-day.
- GSL Education is seeking caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support schools across Horncastle and Alford.
- Work closely with teachers and pupils to support learning, encourage engagement, and help create a positive classroom environment.
Candidate fit
- Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
- A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
