Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking primary school in Burnage. The school is dedicated to nurturing pupils’ academic progress alongside their social and emotional wellbeing and is now seeking an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team after May half term.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, lead targeted interventions, and contribute to planning and assessment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and motivated HLTA looking to make a real difference within a supportive and vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons
- Lead one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupil progress
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Prepare learning resources and monitor pupil progress
- Provide tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and wider school staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience as a HLTA or within a senior classroom support role
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to education
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting diverse learners
- A recognised HLTA qualification (or equivalent) — highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
