Teaching Assistant focuses on provide one-to-one or small group support to children with sen.
What the role involves
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN.
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering learning activities.
- Promote inclusion and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment.
- Is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Visits to school: Tuesday th June 5 at 4pm.
- Interviews: Week commencing th June 5.
Skills and requirements
- Knowledge and experience of teaching and scaffolding children’s learning in a KS1 and KS2 classroom.
- Excellent skills and experience of teaching phonics (Little Wandle trained desirable but training will be provided).
- Maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Experience of assisting in the development of individual and group SEND plans and resources.
Confirmed role details
- Band D, Points 5 to 6 (Actual pro-rata salary , to.
- 5 hours per week, Monday – Friday :am -:pm, Term Time Only.
- Permanent to start 1st September 5 NPQ Level 2 or above essential.
- Temporary post for one year in the first instance.
