Teaching Assistant focuses on provide one-to-one or small group support to children with sen.

What the role involves

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN.
• Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering learning activities.
• Promote inclusion and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment.
• Is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
• Visits to school: Tuesday th June 5 at 4pm.
• Interviews: Week commencing th June 5.

Skills and requirements

• Knowledge and experience of teaching and scaffolding children’s learning in a KS1 and KS2 classroom.
• Excellent skills and experience of teaching phonics (Little Wandle trained desirable but training will be provided).
• Maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Experience of assisting in the development of individual and group SEND plans and resources.

Confirmed role details

• Band D, Points 5 to 6 (Actual pro-rata salary , to.
• 5 hours per week, Monday – Friday :am -:pm, Term Time Only.
• Permanent to start 1st September 5 NPQ Level 2 or above essential.
• Temporary post for one year in the first instance.
