Skills and requirements

• Experience working with secondary-aged young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEND.
• A strong commitment to helping young people make progress.
• Confidence in managing fast-paced and challenging situations.

Candidate fit

• Aged pupils (Key Stages 3 and 4) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, all of whom have an EHCP.
• Classes are small, allowing you to build strong, consistent relationships.
• Involve working on a 1:1 basis with individual pupils across the full curriculum, supporting engagement in learning, managing behaviour, and promoting emotional regulation.

Additional role context

• South Shields Full Time.
• £14.24 P/H (pre-AWR, depending on experience and/or qualifications).
