- Teaching Assistant focuses on provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Supporting students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and complex learning needs.
- Help manage behaviour positively, promoting a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
- Supporting with personal care where required (training can be provided).
Skills and requirements
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Confirmed role details
- Full-time, until Summer Holidays (with likely extension into September and potential for a permanent position).
- The opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent role from September.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Candidate fit
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school.
- Care, or similar setting).
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
