What the role involves

• Teaching Assistant focuses on provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Supporting students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and complex learning needs.
• Help manage behaviour positively, promoting a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
• Supporting with personal care where required (training can be provided).

Skills and requirements

• All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Confirmed role details

• Full-time, until Summer Holidays (with likely extension into September and potential for a permanent position).
• The opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent role from September.
• All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
• In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Candidate fit

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school.
• Care, or similar setting).
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
