Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, the work centres on supporting pupils with a range of SEN within the unit and occasionally in mainstream classrooms. It would suit someone who can bring is proactive and willing to learn new strategies and techniques to the role.

Role overview

Work closely with a team of experienced staff to support pupils both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Main responsibilities

Supporting pupils with a range of SEN within the unit and occasionally in mainstream classrooms. Use positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation. Assisting in delivering personalised learning programmes.

Requirements

• Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar).
• All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.

• Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a nurturing primary school in Worthing to recruit a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEN unit.
• In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
• All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
• Additional detail: Weekly pay may be available.
