Technical Engineer
Technical Engineer focuses on leading the dno interface, managing submissions, clarifications, and approvals.
What the role involves
- Leading the DNO interface, managing submissions, clarifications, and approvals.
- Review and direct ICP deliverables such as SLDs, protection philosophies, earthing studies, and cabling.
- Overseeing contestable vs non‑contestable scope and energisation readiness.
- Strengthen HV QA/QC processes and technical governance.
- Act as an internal HV subject matter expert and mentor early‑career engineers.
Skills and requirements
- Strong HV engineering expertise (11–66kV) from an ICP or DNO background.
- Experience delivering grid connections and navigating DNO approvals.
- Proven ability to review and challenge HV/ICP design packages.
- Confidence leading technical discussions and driving high standards.
