Technical Safety Engineer focuses on carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of puk operations and projects including but not limited to following.

What the role involves

  • Carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of PUK operations and projects including but not limited to following.
  • Charing and facilitating safety studies such as Total Risk Management, HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP.
  • Consequence modelling using DNV GL PHAST or Gexcon FLACS.
  • Hydraulics analysis on firewater system using Pipenet.
  • Mini Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) including Event and Fault Tree development.
  • Firewater System Design Upgrade.

Skills and requirements

  • Higher technical qualification in engineering field i.e.
  • Chartered in mechanical, chemical/process engineering is desirable.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Safety Engineering in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Experience in both design and operation is desirable.

Candidate fit

  • Ability to prepare technical reports and letters, working to deadlines, organised and methodical, ability to interact with Senior Management and regulatory bodies, Technically Conf.
