Technical Safety Engineer
Technical Safety Engineer focuses on carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of puk operations and projects including but not limited to following.
What the role involves
- Carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of PUK operations and projects including but not limited to following.
- Charing and facilitating safety studies such as Total Risk Management, HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP.
- Consequence modelling using DNV GL PHAST or Gexcon FLACS.
- Hydraulics analysis on firewater system using Pipenet.
- Mini Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) including Event and Fault Tree development.
- Firewater System Design Upgrade.
Skills and requirements
- Higher technical qualification in engineering field i.e.
- Chartered in mechanical, chemical/process engineering is desirable.
- 2-5 years’ experience in Safety Engineering in Oil & Gas Industry.
- Experience in both design and operation is desirable.
Candidate fit
- Ability to prepare technical reports and letters, working to deadlines, organised and methodical, ability to interact with Senior Management and regulatory bodies, Technically Conf.
