Technical Specialist focuses on provide support for vehicle dynamics development both in the uk and abroad, as required.
What the role involves
- Provide support for vehicle dynamics development both in the UK and abroad, as required.
- Execute hardware tuning and software calibration of region-specific vehicles with respect to vehicle dynamic attribute targets.
- Support the kinematic and compliance system requirements.
- Review simulation results and objective test data, highlight target achievement.
- Provide recommendations for areas of non-compliance.
- Provide support for the Changan China vehicle dynamics team, through targets, best practice techniques, training and knowledge transfer to support product improvements.
Skills and requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent engineering subject.
- 8+ years of subjective and/or objective ride and handling experience.
- In depth knowledge of calibration and tuning of suspension, steering, and braking systems, both passive and adaptive.
- Strong knowledge of modelling and simulation techniques associated with vehicle ride and handling.
