Technical Specialist focuses on provide support for vehicle dynamics development both in the uk and abroad, as required.

What the role involves

• Provide support for vehicle dynamics development both in the UK and abroad, as required.
• Execute hardware tuning and software calibration of region-specific vehicles with respect to vehicle dynamic attribute targets.
• Support the kinematic and compliance system requirements.
• Review simulation results and objective test data, highlight target achievement.
• Provide recommendations for areas of non-compliance.
• Provide support for the Changan China vehicle dynamics team, through targets, best practice techniques, training and knowledge transfer to support product improvements.

Skills and requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent engineering subject.
• 8+ years of subjective and/or objective ride and handling experience.
• In depth knowledge of calibration and tuning of suspension, steering, and braking systems, both passive and adaptive.
• Strong knowledge of modelling and simulation techniques associated with vehicle ride and handling.
