Job description
As a Temporary Learning Assistant (Foundation Learning) (FLLA26), the work centres on assisting and support teaching staff in a range of educational activities, both on and off the College premises. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with learners to the role.

Share responsibility with teaching staff in supervising groups of students on visits. The pursuit of excellence and the highest standards of quality in all aspects of College life.
How the role works day to day
Assisting and support teaching staff in a range of educational activities, both on and off the College premises. Supporting teaching staff to develop the curriculum for students with special educational needs. Assisting in the teaching of Foundation Learning skills.
Practical details
- Start date: As soon as possible or 25th August 2026 (depending on the availability of the successful candidate).
- 27 hours per week (over 4 days, Mon-Thurs) term time only.
- Point 6 to 8 - £25,558 to £26,343 per annum (payable £15,408.53 to £15,881.79 per annum depending on experience).
- Helens, Merseyside, specialising in Level 3 education.
What needs to be in place
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
