Job description

The Traded Services to Schools Team provides a vital service to Sheffield schools and Council Services. The Team are responsible for the development, co-ordination and delivery of an integrated service offer to schools. This includes an on-line sign up to subscription services, billing, establishing agreements and contracts with maintained schools and academies, and assisting all schools to access the services that they require. 

We are looking for someone to join our small team, who is highly motivated, committed and a valuable team member. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support and challenge, experience of working under pressure and achieving deadlines, they must be competent on all Microsoft Word applications and generally IT literate. Training will be provided on the service specific applications relevant to the role. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the annual Traded Services to Schools sign-up processes for maintained and academy schools.
  • Promoting relationships with schools and acting as an advocate and point of contact for schools in managing queries and resolving issues around Traded Services.
  • Supporting individual Traded Services and responding to service queries including producing management information such as reports and projected income levels.
  • Develop and maintain information systems that support service delivery including spreadsheets, databases, SharePoint sites and web pages.
  • Extensive use of the Council’s Financial systems, including Integra and Qtier
  • Maintaining and further developing the management of Traded Services to Schools 
  • The Traded Services to Schools Team is based at Howden House but flexibility is available to also work from home.
