• Prepare specifications for the procurement of transmission line materials and construction.
• Develop cost estimates and schedules.
• Develop transmission line plan and profile drawings.

Skills and requirements

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 3+ years of transmission design experience.
• Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV.
• Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI.

Additional role context

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Perform conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding and induction studies.
