Transport Manager

Transport Manager focuses on managing the day-to-day operation of a mixed fleet of articulated hgvs and light commercial vehicles.

What the role involves

• Managing the day-to-day operation of a mixed fleet of articulated HGVs and light commercial vehicles.
• Coordinate nationwide delivery schedules and collection routes to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, tachograph legislation, and Working Time Directive rules.
• Act as the nominated Transport Manager on the Operator Licence.
• Overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and defect reporting processes.
• Monitoring driver performance, driver hours, and fleet compliance standards.

Skills and requirements

• CPC in Road Haulage (National or International).
• Proven experience within a Transport Manager or similar fleet management role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform well under pressure.
