What the role involves
- Planning and organising daily delivery schedules.
- Allocating vehicles and routes to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
- Liaising with drivers regarding routes, schedules and any operational issues.
- Arranging deliveries through external carriers and couriers when required.
- Monitoring vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Managing tachograph downloads and driver compliance records.
Skills and requirements
- This position would suit someone with transport planning experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and can manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
- All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
- Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
