Trauma Informed Practitioner focuses on provide targeted emotional and behavioural support to pupils.
What the role involves
- Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support to pupils.
- Implement trauma-informed strategies and interventions.
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive coping skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing practices.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and de-escalation techniques.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.

- GSL Education are currently recruiting a passionate Trauma Informed Practitioner to work in schools across Walsall.
- As a Trauma Informed Practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who have experienced adversity or trauma, helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged in education.
