• Delivering tailored, one-to-one tuition for secondary pupils, including GCSE-level support.

Skills and requirements

• At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with SEMH pupils or those with additional needs.
• All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Confirmed role details

• Teaching core subjects such as Maths and English (additional subjects are a bonus).
• All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
• In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Candidate fit

• Creating a calm, structured environment where students feel safe to learn.
• Acting as a consistent, positive role model throughout the tuition journey.

Additional role context

• Adapting sessions to suit pupils’ emotional needs, not just their academic level.
• Recording attendance, lesson objectives, and clear session summaries after each session.
• Availability of 10–15 hours per week minimum.
