What the role involves

• · Provide one-on-one tuition in English and Maths, focusing on areas below ARE.
• · Deliver lessons aligned with KS2 and KS3 curriculum expectations.
• Prepare lesson materials and resources tailored to the students needs.
• · Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure engagement and success.
• · Foster a positive learning environment that promotes growth and confidence.
• · Work collaboratively with parents to provide regular feedback on progress.

Skills and requirements

• · Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching core subjects (English & Maths).
• · Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
• · Strong background in teaching or tutoring English and Maths at KS2/KS3 level.
• · Ability to differentiate lessons and cater to individual learning styles.

Confirmed role details

• WF9 (In-Home, Student’s Residence).
• 10 hours per week – 2 x 5 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm).

Additional role context

• A dedicated and passionate English, Maths and Science Tutor to provide tailored one-on-one tuition to a Year 9 student.
• The student is currently working below age-related expectations (ARE), and we are seeking an experienced tutor who can effectively support their progress in both subjects.
• Have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be confident delivering content from KS2 to KS3.
