The Unqualified teacher position centres on supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Where the work sits
Claystone School – a brand-new specialist school in Luton for autistic children aged 4–11, recently opened in January 2025. For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
How the role works day to day
supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.
Practical details
- 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:15am - 4:15pm.
- Up to £33,600 per annum (Depending on experience, not pro rata).
- Family Growth Support, including enhanced maternity/paternity leave and paid fertility treatment support.
- Cycle to Work Scheme & Electric Car Purchase Scheme.
What needs to be in place
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
