Uxbridge Residential EFL Teacher focuses on deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of anglo teenage students.

What the role involves

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLO teenage students.
  • Liaising with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevant teaching and student matters.
  • Teaching levels and course types as directed by the TM/WTS, planning all classes sufficiently and marking students’ work.
  • Selecting appropriate supplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to the students’ needs and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informed as required.
  • Exploiting every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom.

Skills and requirements

  • Work closely with colleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience.
  • University degree + TEFLI qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120 hour TEFL course).
  • Ability to work under pressure, strong work ethic and ability to implement change.
  • Prior experience of teaching U18s.

Confirmed role details

  • 72 hours per 14-night student programme, plus one 6-hour paid induction and two 1-hour CPD sessions on campus.
  • On rare occasions we have to offer 14-night 36 hour programmes, in which case hours and remuneration are halved.
