PART-TIME VAN DRIVER – THURROCK, ESSEX

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Van Driver – Days – Thurrock, Essex to join our well-established client based in Thurrock. This role would suit candidates who have experience as a Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, or 3.5T Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, weekly pay, and flexible part-time shifts.

Shifts

 • Working 2–3 days per week between Monday – Friday
 • Start times between 05:30 – 07:00

Rates of Pay

 • £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Operating and driving delivery vans in a safe and efficient manner
 • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
 • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
 • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
 • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
 • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
 • Assisting with loading and unloading of goods where required

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
 • Minimum of twelve months’ experience driving Category B vehicles
 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
 • Good knowledge of the UK road network
 • Ability to read and communicate in English effectively
 • Excellent time keeping and punctuality
 • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Desirable Experience

 • Experience driving commercial vehicles
 • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training with ongoing support throughout
