About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician with proven competence working on vans and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). You will play a key role in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles to high standards, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance at all times. This role is perfect for a technician who enjoys variety and has strong mechanical and diagnostic ability.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vans and HGVs

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment

Perform routine inspections including brake systems, steering, suspension, and transmissions

Complete accurate job cards, service records, and reports

Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards

Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines and customer expectations

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

Support apprentice technicians or colleagues as required
About You

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Commercial Mechanic

Hands-on experience servicing and repairing vans and HGVs
-
Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills

Comfortable using electronic diagnostic tools and workshop systems

Reliable, motivated, and detail-focused

Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence and relevant certifications (HGV/MOT tech qualifications beneficial)
