Vehicle Make Ready Operative

The Vehicle Make Ready Operative position centres on dispatch will advise which vehicle is needed based on vehicle spares. It would suit someone who can bring across our sites we provide patient transport services, secure mental health patient transport, urgent and emergency care to the role.

Where the work sits

General site H&S Conduct health, safety, security and cleanliness site walk-abouts 3 times per day. This is to be completed to an Infection Prevention and control policy standard, along with supporting Cleanliness Standards processes.

How the role works day to day

Dispatch will advise which vehicle is needed based on vehicle spares. Ensure requests for replacement uniform are made following procedure to maintain adequate clean supply. You are to ensure that you maintain up to date Company policies and procedures and maintain their staff handbook together with any updates issued.

Across our sites we provide patient transport services, secure mental health patient transport, urgent and emergency care. This role will include maintaining the ambulances, which is why being a confident driver is important, and ensuring the stations stockrooms are fully stocked. Strong professional approach.

Practical details

• You are responsible for ensuring the ambulances are fully stocked, cleaned and ready to go out on shift.
• Key reconciliation, two-person crew etc Ambulance end of shift Coordinate vehicle parking upon return to site, based on next deployment wave Assisting and audit pre and post shift.
• Additional detail: Training or development support may be provided.
